Canada Dental Benefit for children under 12

The Canada dental benefit will cover dental expenses for children under the age of 12 who do not have access to private insurance.

This benefit guarantees services for all types of dental professionals who are not fully covered by other provincial dental programs. It complements the offer of dental health services to children in Quebec where the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) covers children under the age of 10 only.

To be eligible, you must:

• Receiving the Canada Child Benefit (CCB)
• Have a family income of less than $90,000
• Not having access to private dental insurance

Based on your adjusted family net income, a non-taxable payment of $260, $390 or $650 is available for each eligible child.
