Sherbrooke, September 9, 2020 - Minister Bibeau announced on Wednesday that Jacqueline Belleau, the very competent and appreciated director of the Compton-Stanstead constituency office, was preparing to take up a new challenge with the organization Actions Interculturelles. As of September 21st, she will be replaced by the person who has been her right-hand man, Mr. Marc-Alexandre Fonda.
“Jacqueline is liked by everyone. She is recognized as an extremely competent and highly efficient woman. She knows how to bring people together and resolve complex issues with great diplomacy. Jackie is going to leave a big hole in our team, but having trained the young professionals around her well, I am confident that they are now ready to take on new responsibilities. Politics is an extreme sport that we played together for almost five years. Our complicity and our friendship will remain. I wish her success and pleasure in her new role,” said Minister Bibeau.
The management of the office will be entrusted to Mr. Marc-Alexandre Fonda who, since his hiring in 2016, has been able to rise through the ranks within the team of the Member of Parliament for Compton-Stanstead. He is well known to town managers, community organizations and entrepreneurs in the region as he has already assisted many of them with federal services. Mr. Fonda has also become a specialist in immigration matters.
