Position : Constituency Assistant

The Hon. Marie-Claude Bibeau, Member of Parliament for Compton-Stanstead and Minister of National Revenu, is looking for a constituency assistant. This person plays a key role within the team since she welcomes citizens, informs them and directs them so that they receive the best possible services from the Government of Canada.

Primary responsabibilities include :

• Greet, respond and/or direct citizens who communicate with the office of the Deputy Minister by telephone, email, letters or in person.
• Follow up in an orderly manner on correspondence and calls.
• Research issues and draft responses to citizen enquiries.
• Manage the agenda of the deputy minister for activities taking place in the constituency.
• Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
• Gather, compile and maintain various information databases.
• All other related tasks.

Qualifications and skills :

• Bilingualism.
• Excellent writing skills in French and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Attention to details.
• Interpersonal skills, empathy, tact and discretion.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Other information

• Work schedule : Full time, 8:30 AM to 4 :30 PM, Monday to Friday.
  Occasional work during evenings or on weekends to accompany or represent the deputy minister in the constituency.
• Location : 175 Queen Street, #204, (Lennoxville) Sherbrooke, Qc, J1M 1K1.
• Salary : Between 45 000$ and 55 000$ depending on qualifications and work experience + Entre 45 000 $ et 55 000 $ en fonction des compétences et de l’expérience + Government of Canada benefits.
• Security clearance : The successful candidate will be required to obtain an RCMP security clearance.
• Starting date : As soon as possible
